In response to unpaid carers questions about Direct Payments, Personal Assistants and the coronavirus, Hertfordshire County Council has shared some answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the matter. The FAQ document can be found on the Council’s website – Coronavirus Direct Payments FAQs.

The Council has answered questions about the use of Direct Payments during this time, PPE, training, testing and PA’s employment related queries.

Please check the Government’s guidance for the most recent information. There is guidance for people using Direct Payments during the coronavirus outbreak and guidance for people receiving Direct Payments during the coronavirus. If replacement care is required as the Personal Assistant or agency you have is unable to provide support as normal, please contact your social care contact. At Hertfordshire County Council the number for Adults is 0300 123 4042 and for Children’s Services it is 0300 123 4043.
