Workshop with Older People Services Team

  The Older Peoples Teams in the West of the county are keen to improve the way that they work with carers.  This includes those of you who are supporting a frail elderly person and those supporting someone with dementia.  Following on from the successful workshop in March the team have been considering existing resources that could help carers.  They have developed a draft carer practitioner checklist.  To improve this checklist they would like input from carers to understand the types of information and support carers find most useful.

   

  We will be facilitating a workshop with the following goals:

   

  1. Improve practitioners ability to deliver quality services to carers by developing the service.
  2. Give carers a voice in refining the carer practitioners checklist
  3. Collaborate with carers by hearing their suggestions and proposed solutions to obstacles which can then be incorporated into the checklist as examples of best practises.
