Have you ever wondered if there was some support to help the person you care for (or yourself) find part-time work? The Shaw Trust support a work and health programme called ‘WHP Pioneer’ which is designed to do just that. It supports people who are not required to actively look for work, but who might want to work a few more hours a week such as people with disabilities or their carers. They can help:
– place people in work
– prepare them to be trained to do the job in the way the employer wants it done
– provide ongoing support to maintain them in the job.
This session is for carers of Autistic adults without a learning disability gain an insight from the Shaw Trust on the WHP Pioneer scheme. It’s also an opportunity for you to share what is working well with services.
