• 6 week course on Tuesdays from 20th February to 26th March 2024, 10.30am to 12.30pm.

  Have you ever wanted to learn Macramé? Come along to a great new course with Bernadine!

  You can learn the common Macramé knots, get recommendations for the best Macramé materials, and learn how to start your first project. Macramé is a great way to create beautiful and functional pieces of art to decorate your home with vintage flair.

  You will learn to:

  • Demonstrate the basic 5 knots – Square Knot, Larks Head, Double Hitch Knot, Half Square Knot, and Alternating Square Knot.
  • Learn to read a pattern and understand how patterns are written on the internet in different countries.
  • Learn how Arts and Crafts can aid career development and discover the therapeutic benefits of craft on mental and physical health.
  • Create various finished pieces of Macramé , including a sampler, a wall having, and a Pot Hanger.

  PLEASE NOTE: This course is not suitable for those with mobility issues as there is a flight of stairs to access the venue.
