Learning Disability and Autism Focus Group – Communication

Tuesday 26th August 2025, 1.30pm - 3.30pm During recent Carers In Hertfordshire Representation groups carers expressed concerns regarding communication within the community, this could be within educational environments, GP practices, hospitals, day centres, supported living etc for autistic people and those with learning disability. We would like to get a better understanding of how these issues are impacting you as carers and explore ways that we can support you with it.  In order to do so we have formed a Communications Focus group, firstly we will identify the issues and then explore ways of breaking down barriers, engage with services that can support and work with other agencies who can support.
