Hertfordshire Drug & Alcohol Strategy Consultation

  • Thursday 10th October 2024, 10.30am to 12.30pm, refreshments will be served from 10am to ensure a prompt start.

Hertfordshire’s Drug & Alcohol Strategy expires at the end of the year and Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) are currently in the process of drafting the new strategy looking ahead to 2025 – 2030.  As part of this process HCC have consulted extensively with commissioners, experts in the field and, the organisations that work to support those with substance use issues. However, in order to ensure that the Drug & Alcohol Strategy is fit for purpose, it is vital that HCC hear from those with lived experience and those that support and care for them.

Carers play a crucial role in supporting those with substance use issues and the best systems are designed with carers in mind. To help us understand how this can be achieved we would like to invite you to attend a focus group session where HCC will share the strategic objectives that have been drafted and take views on both their suitability and what actions should be put in place to achieve them. Your valuable feedback and support are instrumental in the development of the strategy.

Michael Nadasdy, Programme Manager & Partnership Lead, will be presenting.

This event is also being held online on Tuesday 15th October – please only attend one.
