Help us secure up to £4,000 to support unpaid carers in Hertfordshire

You could help us secure donations from a supermarket and building society by picking up a token or casting a vote when in participating branches.

If you’re shopping at Waitrose stores in Rickmansworth or Welwyn Garden City until the end of September 2026, please collect a green token and vote for us – Carers in Hertfordshire in the Community Matters scheme.

In addition, if you bank with Skipton Building Society in St Albans, or are visiting the area, please vote for Carers in Hertfordshire in the branch’s Community Giving Scheme. Voting is open until Friday 2nd October 2026.

Every vote counts as the number received determines the size of the donation, with the charity that receives the most being awarded the largest amount. For Waitrose that is £1,500 per store and for Skipton Building Society it is £1,000.

The donation from Waitrose will go towards our monthly Carers Support Hubs, where unpaid carers can meet up, chat, access information and find out about local support.

Money received from Skipton Building Society will go towards our work providing advice, information, workshops and other services.
