There’s many different ways to support unpaid carers. Some of the platforms we use come take a percentage of each transaction. Find out more below.

  • PayPal (online purchases): UK-based purchases in GBP without a PayPal account have a transaction fee of 1.2% + £0.30. With a PayPal account, 2.9% + £0.30. Other currencies and transaction types are listed on their website.
  • Zettle by PayPal (contactless and card payments at events): 1.75% per transaction.
  • JustGiving donations: 1.9% +30p payment processing fees and 5% on Gift Aid. Donors can contribute to fee coverage.
  • LocalGiving donations: 1.9% + 20p for donations made using UK debit cards, credit cards, and PayPal + 5% on donations over £200 – donors have the option to cover this.
  • Give as you Live donations: 2.5% per donation made through platform, 5% per donation via Tap to Donate app. Donors can contribute to fee coverage.
  • Memory Giving donations: 5% fee per donation excluding Gift Aid.
  • Big Give donations: up to 3.2% of donation + 20p depending on card type, and country + VAT. Gift Aid does not incur a fee.
