Supporting Neurodivergent People Into Sustainable, Gainful Employment
Tuesday 22nd September 2026, 11am - 1.30pm The engagement team are inviting you to an event where we can begin to discuss how to rise to these challenges and explore solutions. This event is about action and will include discussing how we can begin to bring together our own skills and knowledge with other professionals and work collaboratively to improve employment opportunities for young autistic adults. Around 700,000 people in the UK are autistic and yet just 30.2% of autistic adults, are in full or part-time paid employment. Increasingly employers are starting to understand the benefits of a neurodiverse workforce and are seeking employees who can offer different ways of thinking and problem-solving. Following some consultations we previously held we know that carers of young autistic adults are concerned for their children’s future and the challenges they face.
