Reflecting on Carers Week 2020

During Carers Week (8th – 14th June 2020) we helped in Making Caring Visible – the theme of the week – by connecting unpaid carers to representatives from health and social care services in Hertfordshire so they could express their concerns and have their queries answered. We also held activities online to give them a break from caring or chat with other carers and shared information to assist them in their caring role.

This Carers Week (8th – 14th June 2020) we are reminding people who provide unpaid care to a relative or someone close to them who is ill, disabled, elderly, or misuses drugs or alcohol, that we are there to support them. Instead of the face to face events we usually hold to mark Carers Week, which cannot happen due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have planned a range of online activities.
