We put the spotlight on unpaid family and friend carers and caring on Carers Rights Day (26th November 2020) and held a range of events online to give carers the chance to find out about their rights and financial support, take part in an art workshop, and even lobby MPs and representatives from Hertfordshire County Council and the NHS for improved services and assistance.

People in Hertfordshire that need medical care that is not life or limb threatening or requiring an ambulance are being asked to contact NHS 111 before going to A&E so they can be directed to the best place for treatment. This move will help keep patients safe and hopefully ease waiting times and pressures in hospitals and emergency departments.
