This Carers Week (6th – 12th June 2022) charity Carers in Hertfordshire is encouraging people who provide unpaid care to a relative, partner, or friend who is ill, disabled, elderly, or misuses drugs or alcohol, to be identified and connect with organisations, like them, which can provide information and support.

To mark the week we have planned a range of events for carers to join in with including a nature walk, an online quiz night and an information session. Some of our Carer Support Hubs are also meeting and our volunteers will continue making Keep in Touch welfare calls.

The theme of the national awareness week this year is to make caring visible, valued and supported and Carers in Hertfordshire hope all parts of the community, including businesses, schools, and health and care services, help to reach out to carers and show them that they are valued and raise awareness about the support they and others provide.

You can find out about the Carers Week events planned in Hertfordshire at or you can us on 01992 58 69 69.

At present, just over 37,000 children and adults who care for someone or have done so in the last three years, are known to Carers in Hertfordshire – up from 36,300 last Carers Week.

If you provide unpaid care to someone and you or they are in Hertfordshire, and you would like support from Carers in Hertfordshire or want to join in any of the Carers Week events, please email or call 01992 58 69 69.
