Carers UK is looking for unpaid carers who support a disabled, older or seriously ill relative or friend to take its State of Caring Survey 2021 to help create a picture of what it is like being a carer in the UK and what, if anything, needs to change.

The survey asks about what your life is like as a carer and what you would like changed to support you in your caring role. You will be asked about your experiences of health and care services, your health and wellbeing and more.

You can find out more about the survey at or complete the survey online at and the survey is due to close on Monday 13th September 2021.

Carers UK uses the responses for campaigning to improve support and services for carers and informing the Government how their policies affect carers’ lives. Last year over 6,000 carers and former carers responded to the survey. Responses helped Carers UK campaign successfully for better guidance, testing for carers and PPE (personal protective equipment) for unpaid carers.

The survey will take about 30 minutes to complete but Carers UK would appreciate your support as it helps paint a picture of what it is like to be a carer in 2021.
