Families caring for an adult with a learning disability have been sent letters from the Hertfordshire County Council Adults with Disabilities Service, telling them that a number of the County-run Day Services are being closed for the time being. The letter is available to view at this link. The Day Services are temporarily closed because very few people are still attending, as many are social distancing or self-isolating.

However, 12 Day Services will be staying open so that people can choose to attend if they want to, although they may have to go to a different place. The services remaining open are listed in the letter. The Council are assuring people that anyone currently registered with Hertfordshire County Council Day Services can continue to attend a day service if they need, and that services can be arranged at short notice if needed.

If you have any worries about this, the Adults with Disabilities team telephone numbers are included in the letter. Alternatively please do call Carers in Hertfordshire on 01992 58 69 69 and speak to one of our Carer Support Advisers.
