Take on one of the world's most famous marathons for Carers in Hertfordshire and experience the incredible atmosphere as you run past the iconic sights of the capital including Big Ben, Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace.
About the Race
The London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet; over 1 million competitors have taken part raising millions of pounds for good causes since the race began in 1981. It’s also one of the most iconic 26.2 mile runs in the world!
When is it happening?
The Virgin Money London Marathon has been moved from it’s usual month of April to October 3rd 2021 to make it as Covid secure as possible.
How much do I need to raise?
We ask that our runners pay a registration fee of £100 and raise a minimum of £2,500. Next year, we only have one place available so we’re looking for runners who are passionate about supporting unpaid carers and really want to fundraise for Carers in Hertfordshire.
Every £100 you raise could help 10 carers who feel isolated and alone with no one to turn to.
How do I get a place?
Our charity place application process is now open! To ensure you give yourself the best chance possible of your application being accepted, please include as much detail as you can. We will respond to all applications by the end of January
Got your own place?
If you were successful in the public ballot (to be announced in January 2021) we’d love to have your support! Just email us to join the team. Our own place runners have no fundraising target – just raise as much as you can!
