Will you go the distance for unpaid carers?
Why 172 miles? Because it is the boundary length of Hertfordshire.
Whether this be on your lunch break, a kick start to your morning or an evening stroll, it’s a great way to get outdoors whilst doing something good for unpaid carers. Whilst still following government guidance, this is the perfect way of keeping up your exercise goals and not straying too far from the safety of your home.

Have your family and friends sponsor you for reaching 172 miles in order to raise awareness of unpaid carers living in Hertfordshire. You can create your fundraising page today at Virgin Money Giving and you’ll receive hints and tips along the way. To help support unpaid carers we encourage you to set a minimum target of £250 and as soon as you reach £100 we will send you a Carers in Hertfordshire t-shirt!
Every £100 you raise could help 10 carers who feel isolated and alone with no one to turn to.
Platinum Point, Hertfordshire's Networking Group took part as a team of 14 and travelled around Hertfordshire nearly 10 times whilst raising £2500!
"Like many people I've been walking a lot more during lock down to get some exercise and when i heard about Challenge Hertfordshire I thought it was such a brilliant idea for a real, great charity.
I have done it with two friends and as the Awesome Threesome we have covered 172 miles between us. As well as raising money I feel a great sense of achievement, fitter and I've lost some weight, while my sponsors' donations will have made a real contribution to Carers in Hertfordshire."
