West Hertfordshire Hospitals Trust want to know how they can improve the way they work with people with learning disabilities and their carers.
They are holding a meeting for carers and adults with learning disabilities who have used services at Watford General, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans City Hospitals. They want to hear what you think about the way you and your relative were treated – what was good and what needs to improve. Your feedback will be used to inform work planning and new projects to improve services and patient experience.
This work will also be reviewed by their “Ask Listen Do” co-production group. This includes carers and people with learning disabilities who look at strategies and ideas to improve the hospital services by making reasonable adjustments to care and processes.
The event will be run by the safeguarding nurses at West Hertfordshire Hospitals, the Acute health liaison nursing team (AHLT), and the Carers lead for the trust.
