Thursday 7th September 2023, 1pm to 3pm (a light lunch will be provided at 1pm) This is a chance for you to get together with other carers in similar situations. Also, we will be joined by Carolyn McIntosh from Herts County Council who will talk about the Mental Capacity Act. Carolyn has sent us the following information: "The aim of the Mental Capacity Act is to support people, who due to having a mental health condition such as Dementia, a brain injury or learning disability may struggle to make some decisions. It sets out how people should be supported to make these decisions and how family, friends and professionals can support them to either make the decisions or what steps they can take in relation to decision making on the persons behalf."
Please note: this meeting is for carers of someone with Dementia
