Services for Carers with Limited English

Carers in Hertfordshire services for carers who speak limited English :

• Translated version of our leaflet ‘You are a Carer’ available in:

		Bengali   Gujarati   Punjabi   Urdu   Chinese   Italian
	This explains the services we are able to provide and the interpretation services available. Click here for an English version of the translated leaflet.

• Access to Languageline (www.languageline.co.uk) for an interpretation service over the phone.  
  All that is required is the name and phone number of the carer wanting to speak to us, the name of their language and an agreed time for the call. 
  The carer will be rung as arranged with an interpreter on the line who will interpret as a conversation takes place between the Carers in Hertfordshire worker and the carer.
   
• Access to interpretation services where a face to face meeting is needed.
  This can be over the phone via Languageline or with an interpreter present (by pre-arrangement).
