We are one of three charities that customers at the Tesco store in West Street, Ware, can vote for in September and October 2018 as part of the Bags of Help scheme and we need your help as the more votes we receive the bigger the donation we could receive to put towards training more carer mentors.

We will receive a donation of between £1,000 and £4,000 - the charity with the most votes will receive a higher amount so your support will be appreciated.

We will put the donation we receive towards our mentoring service to train more people in the Ware and Hertford area to become mentors and provide a listening ear and support to unpaid family and friend carers.

Jo Willis, our Carers Development and Learning Manager, said: “Carers really value being able to talk to someone who has experience of caring or an understanding of their caring situation, so if you shop at the store please pick up a token or few and vote for us and share with your friends and family. We hope to train up to 15 new mentors, who could support around 50 carers in the two years after their training.”

If you provide unpaid care to someone elderly, ill or disabled and want to find out about mentoring or other support we provide please call Carers in Hertfordshire on 01992 58 69 69.
