Provide information, advice and support.  Have a helpline, and produce excellent fact sheets and information packs on all aspects of bringing up a child with a disability

Support to anyone parenting a child.  Run useful workshops on a range of different subjects.  Many are also available as telephone groups for those who can't get out.

Provides information about the law and policy affecting children and young people.  Free legal information available through the website.

The Commission for Social Care Inspection, inspects and reports on care services and councils to improve social care.  Website has lists of residential schools, colleges and family centres which have been inspected.

Offers free advice and information on all aspects of education, including: exclusions, bullying, special educational needs and appeals.  Can signpost parents of disabled children on to other organisations providing educational advice and practical support such as Ipsea (0800 018 4016) and Network81 (0870 770 3306).
