Programme for those Caring for Someone with Dementia
Caring with Confidence is a FREE knowledge and skills based programme for adult carers run by Carers in Hertfordshire.
The sessions are informal but follow a structure, enabling carers to learn and participate in a positive way through a range of group activities.
Carers are encouraged to build on their strengths, as well as learn from other carers in similar situations. Information and tips are shared during the session and afterwards everyone takes home a useful resource book.
Each session lasts 3 hours and relate to key aspects of caring.
The sessions will take place on:
Tuesday, 28th February - Caring & Life
Tuesday, 6th March - Caring & Communicating
Tuesday, 13th March - Caring & Coping
Tuesday, 20th March - Caring & Resources
Tuesday, 27th March - Caring for someone with Dementia
Tuesday, 3rd April - Caring Day to Day
All these sessions are open to adult family carers who are caring for someone with dementia whether they are new to caring or have been caring for some time.
Places are limited, so please Register your interest in attending one or more of the sessions as soon as possible.
We may be able to offer assistance with transport and alternative care for those carers who need it to attend a session.
