Carer Trainer Unit

Would you like to...

  • Use your caring expertise to influence good practice among professionals?

  • Gain personal and professional development and meet people?

If you would like to help staff, particularly in health and social care organisations, to gain a better understanding of what it is like to be a carer, you might like to take part in their training.

As a carer trainer you would receive training induction and ongoing support, as well as payment, travel and alternative care costs.  You would meet other carers, staff and students from all over the country.

We already have a vibrant group of carer trainers, however we are wanting to recruit carers from the following groups:

  • Carers of elderly people
  • Carers who do paid work
  • Carers of someone with alcohol and/or drug dependency
  • Carers of someone with mental health problems and substance misuse

To find out more, please email us or call Helen Culf on 01992 586969.
